Nationwide Service

United States Yacht Surface Restoration

YSR is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale and serves yacht owners, captains, management companies, shipyards, and brokers across the United States — with traveling detail and coatings crews ready to fly to any U.S. marine hub for gelcoat, paint, teak, glass, metal, acrylic, and ceramic-coating projects.

Overview

YSR nationwide yacht surface restoration

YSR primarily services the South Florida Tri-County market — Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach — but our crews travel nationwide when an owner or captain requests it. From our Fort Lauderdale base we mobilize traveling teams to any U.S. marine hub, arriving with Lat 26° marine coatings, dual-action polishers, buffers, extraction equipment, and every consumable a full restoration requires.

We've restored gelcoat, Awlgrip and Alexseal paint, teak, stainless, chrome, isinglass, and helm glass on motor yachts, sportfishermen, sailing yachts, and expedition vessels along the East Coast, Gulf Coast, Great Lakes, and Pacific Northwest. Our process is identical wherever the vessel sits — the same crew, the same coatings, the same finish standard we deliver to a 40m yacht sitting in a Fort Lauderdale slip.

If you own or run a yacht anywhere in the United States and want a Fort Lauderdale-caliber finish without moving the boat, we will build a travel plan around your yard schedule, charter calendar, or delivery window.

Why YSR

Why owners and captains across the U.S. choose YSR

Traveling detail & coatings crews

Fully equipped mobile teams trained in gelcoat correction, paint polishing, ceramic coating application, teak restoration, and metal polishing. We fly to your yard or marina with tools, pads, compounds, and Lat 26° coatings in hand.

One shop, one finish standard

Every crew leaves the same Fort Lauderdale operation. There is no franchise network, no subcontracted labor, and no rotating quality — the finish is identical whether your vessel is in Seattle, Newport, or Naples.

Lat 26° marine coatings

We apply and maintain Lat 26° ceramic and sealant systems formulated for tropical UV, salt, and dockside grime. Products, prep, and application are matched to your climate and cruising pattern.

Yacht-only experience

Our crews work exclusively on yachts — never cars, never trucks. That means safe pad selection on soft topsides paint, proper masking around hardware and gaskets, and finish decisions that respect resale value.

How a U.S. travel project is scoped

Every out-of-market project starts with a phone or video walk-around so we can see the current finish condition, hardware layout, and access points. From there we build a fixed scope: which surfaces are being corrected, which coatings are being applied, how many crew are traveling, how many days on the vessel, and what the yard or marina requires in terms of insurance, safety gear, and dockside access.

Travel, lodging, and per-diem are quoted transparently and included in a single estimate — no surprise change orders. When the vessel is under refit, we coordinate directly with the yard project manager and captain so surface work slots in around paint booth releases, hardware reinstalls, and sea-trial dates.

Vessels and finishes we support nationwide

We routinely fly to motor yachts, sportfishing convertibles, expedition vessels, sailing yachts, and center consoles from 40 to 200+ feet. Common projects include full compound-and-coat cycles on faded gelcoat, Awlgrip/Alexseal paint correction and ceramic protection, teak deck brightening and sealing, stainless and chrome polishing, isinglass and acrylic clarity restoration, and helm and salon glass polishing.

Whether the vessel is dockside in Newport, on the hard in Charleston, or wintering in San Diego, the same YSR crew arrives with the same product line and finish standard.

United States yacht restoration FAQ

Will YSR fly to a yacht outside of Florida?

Yes. While our home market is South Florida, we travel throughout the United States when an owner or captain requests service. Our crews arrive fully equipped with Lat 26° coatings, pads, compounds, and buffers — you don't need to source anything locally.

Do I have to bring my yacht to Fort Lauderdale?

No. Full gelcoat restoration, paint correction, teak work, ceramic coating, and metal polishing can all be performed at your dock, yard, or marina anywhere in the U.S.

How is a traveling project priced?

You receive one fixed estimate that includes labor, materials, travel, lodging, and per-diem for the crew. We scope the work up front from photos, video, and a captain walk-around so there are no surprise change orders on-site.

Can you coordinate with my captain, yard, or refit project manager?

Yes. We regularly slot surface work around haul-out schedules, paint releases, hardware reinstalls, provisioning, and sea trials. We carry marine liability insurance and provide COIs on request.

What size vessels do you travel for?

We travel for yachts roughly 40 feet and up — motor yachts, sportfishermen, expedition vessels, and sailing yachts. Smaller vessels can be handled locally in South Florida.
